MATTERS OF THE STATE

"Corruption At The Topmost Level"

A State is a group of people who have acquired international recognition as an independent country and have a population and is politically organized and also have a particular character.

Now Nigeria as a state has failed in too many areas since her independence. Nigeria is a country that kicked off so well with a promising future at first, but despite all its riches has ended up a failure because she found herself in the destructive  hands of corruption, and it is been managed by people who have little or no interest in her growth but are more interested in the  growth of their financial status and so the government has deteriorated as nothing has improved, only that the corruption in the system is growing wider and getting more and more out of hands.

Yes indeed, Nigeria is a very rich country, though it is made up of very poor masses, yet Nigeria is rich in almost everything, yet the riches has gotten no where close to the masses, to talk less of showing on them because of its mismanagement. It so much saddens the heart that despite how hardworking and relentless Nigerians are, they are making no progress because of their covetous and insatiable leaders who will always find a way to have a share of their profits, therefore, a particular set of people have been the ones enjoying the riches of the state alone.

The leadership of Nigeria also circulates only within the very same set of people who goes to the extent of making the leadership of Nigeria a consolatory prize to the families of the deceased members of the executives, for example, when a governor or and ex-governor dies, his son/daughter or any member of his family that is of age will be appointed and given a seat at the table of the decision makers in the country either as a senator or any other important position, whichever way, this person will be given a high position to occupy, therefore putting so many people who are unfit to run the state affairs in the positions to participate in the matters of the State.
